Jesus Christ is Lord

Statement of belief

We believe in:-

1. The full inspiration of the Holy Scriptures; their authority and sufficiency as not only containing, but being themselves, the Word of God; and the work of the Holy Spirit as necessary to their right understanding.

2. The unity of the Godhead, and the trinity of Person therein; Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

3. The deity of the Lord Jesus Christ; His virgin birth; His real and perfect manhood; the infallibility of all His utterances; His work of atonement for sinners of mankind by His vicarious sufferings and death on the cross; His bodily resurrection and ascension into heaven; His present priestly intercession for His people, and His corporeal premillennial return.

4. The personality and deity of the Holy Spirit, His work of convicting sinners, together with His regenerating and sanctifying work.

5. The utter depravity of human nature in consequence of the fall; the necessity for regeneration; the justification of the believer soley by faith in Jesus Christ, through the atoning merits of His one complete sacrifice at Calvary.

6. The resurrection of the body; the judgement of the world by our Lord Jesus Christ, with the eternal blessedness of the righteous and the everlasting punishment of the wicked.
