Folk Week Evangelistic
Lunch at the Methodist Church 4th August
A note from the Pastor:
I have been asked to host an evangelistic lunch at the Methodist Church Hall on
Wednesday 4th August. (Folk Festival week). It will be open from about 12.45
until 2.15 p.m. It will take the form of a jacket potato lunch with fillings.
All the food is purchased by someone at the Methodist Church and then different
Churches run the lunch. Remember we did it last year?
All we have to do is put about 100 potatoes in our ovens at Emmanuel, then when
they are ready to coincide with 12.30, take them to the Methodist Church Hall
and serve them with the fillings.
There will be a team of people needed to play music, share testimonies and talk
with folks at the tables over lunch.
So in order to make it work the following help is needed.
1. Two people to wrap potatoes in foil and put them in the oven at Emmanuel
about 10 a.m. on Wednesday 4th August.
2. Four people to serve in the kitchen at the Methodist Church Hall from 12.45
until about 2p.m. They only need to cut the potatoes and put in fillings. They
will also need to make teas, coffees and cold drinks.
3. At least 4 people to speak to folks at tables.
4. At least one or two people to hand out leaflets in the town from about
11.00a.m. Ken Jagger did a great job last time.
Please let me know if you can help and what you can help with.
Every Blessing,
Alistair.
PS Not enough helpers have come
forward so far to make this viable!
